What is the LilyPadz® story?
LilyPadz® are the revolutionary nursing pad alternative for nursing mothers, created by a nursing mother. When Tina Bruce began developing LilyPadz® she had a simple objective in mind. Her belief in a better solution for nursing moms who, like her, didn’t want to wear and constantly change messy, wet nursing pads. “I started looking for anything that would mimic the seal I got when I used my finger to stop the leaking.” Tina experimented with a variety of materials, but it wasn’t until caulking around a newly installed baby gate one afternoon that she found her solution in silicone. Having a B.A. in chemistry, she knew that silicone had the soft, flexible and breathable properties she was looking for and was a safe and natural material.
After testing the initial design herself, Tina began sharing her LilyPadz® with friends. Once requests from friends of friends began to grow, Tina knew she had developed the solution she was looking for. The first pair of LilyPadz® were manufactured for sale in January 2003. Since then, LilyPadz® has sold over 1 million pairs all across the globe.
How do you apply LilyPadz® Nursing Pads?
Apply – 3 Easy Steps
- Turn your LilyPadz® tacky side bowed out toward the skin.
- With a finger in the center, firmly depress your nipple.
- With your nipple flattened, smooth the edges of the LilyPadz® down over the skin, making sure to smooth out any air pockets from forming underneath.

To maintain the tackiness of your LilyPadz® and extend their life, we recommend washing daily with our specially formulated LilyWash®. Always rinse well after a cleaning and allow your LilyPadz® to air dry.
Should you need to sanitize your LilyPadz, we recommend soaking for 30-60 minutes in a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution before cleansing with LilyWash®.
How do LilyPadz nursing pads work?
LilyPadz are like a thin, flexible second skin. They gently adhere to the breast and depress the nipple. This creates a fingertip like seal preventing leaks that other nursing pads absorb.
What Size LilyPadz® is the best fit for me?
Generally, we find most women with cup sizes up to D will find size regular LilyPadz® comfortable. For breasts size DD or larger, we recommend the large option.

How do you store LilyPadz®?
When not in use, store your LilyPadz® on the plastic domes provided in the packaging. LilyTip: While feeding, simply place the removed pad toward the cleavage area of the non-feeding breast.
What makes LilyPadz® better than other nursing pads?
LilyPadz® are beyond nursing pads. Our silicone breast pads provide moms with benefits that traditional pads can’t. With LilyPadz® you can go swimming and go braless.

What are LilyPadz® nursing pads made of?
100% medical grade silicone.
Are LilyPadz® safe?
Yes! LilyPadz® are made of 100% medical grade, gas permeable silicone, a material that shows no allergic reactions and is skin tested.
Will LilyPadz® cause mastitis or thrush?
A study has shown LilyPadz® users have decreased risk of common breastfeeding complications such as mastitis, thrush, nipple injury, and duct clogging compared to the use of traditional cotton pads. You can find a copy of the study HERE.
Can LilyPadz® be used with lanolin?
Yes. However, because LilyPadz® help maintain proper moisture balance in the breast tissue, most moms using LilyPadz® find less of a need for lanolin.
LilyTip: Because lanolin is oily by nature it may interfere with LilyPadz® ability to adhere to you, so we recommend applying only to the nipple and areola (leaving the edges to still adhere) and wearing them with good support to avoid slippage.
How long will LilyPadz® last?

Will LilyPadz® affect my milk supply?
No. LilyPadz® do not adversely affect milk supply. As long as you are feeding or expressing your milk regularly, your supply will adjust based on the demand established by you and your child.
How can I disinfect my LilyPadz®?
We suggest soaking LilyPadz® in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution for 30 to 60 minutes, followed by a thorough cleaning as per the recommended cleaning instructions.
LilyTip: We do not recommend boiling your LilyPadz®, as this could potential damage the tacky surface of the pads.
Do LilyPadz® only come in clear?
No! We offer several styles in both regular and large to suit your mood and needs. You can purchase LilyPadz® nursing pads in original clear, nude, black lace, and hearts.
Can I purchase LilyPadz® internationally?
We are happy to offer LilyPadz® and our other products via international retailers.
